As my bank statement has made quite evident, Christmas is well on the way, and so the season of present buying is hitting the overdrive button HARD. There’s no getting around it – if you don’t get your Christmas orders wrapped up soon (because seriously, no one’s going to actual shops to get their festive shopping done, right?), the final delivery dates will fly by and you’ll have to do an emergency dash to Boots for something last-minute and overpriced.
And, if you’re shopping for a loved one who you’d rather furnish with something useful that’ll help them every day rather than something they’ll regift to their sister next year, a Zoella makeup palette is just not going to cut it. What to do?
I’ve come up with nine fantastic Christmas presents you can gift to any social media professional. You can’t go wrong here. Scan the list, select what suits them best, and watch those Christmas smiles roll in.
Does your social media professional friend/spouse/relative constantly complain that they just CANNOT get their team to work together? That the disconnect is driving them crazy and they just WISH they could work out a solution for silo working, and how much better their life would be when they had that?
Stand back fellas, I’ve cracked this one.
My Ultimate UK Content Planners* have been designed to do just that – to make the working life of a digital marketer a thousand times easier, lovelier and a great deal more rewarding. This 2018 fully digital planner lists every notable day, event and public holiday in 2018, signs them up to my monthly mailing list where they’ll be alerted to new events announced in their exact industry, PLUS they’ll be part of my awesome UK Content Planning Facebook Group for life.
It’s the social media Christmas present that keeps on giving – grab one now.
*Please note this is all a digital-based product. If you’re thinking of buying someone this as a Christmas gift, drop me a quick message to let me know so I can plan it’s Christmas day arrival for you!
Frankly, you could nip over to the Kikki.K website, close your eyes and click anywhere and you’d end up with something adorable – it’s the perfect online shop for any stationery or homeware lover. However, I’ve not only found a particularly bargainous gift but also a caffeine-orientated one to really nail the spirit of gift giving.
It’s scientifically proven that social media managers are powered by tea*. So to help your social media professional in question function throughout their turbulent day, why not pick them up this gorgeous Svenska Hem teapot? The added bonus: It’s £6 in the sale.
*May not be a scientific fact.
Is your gift recipient all about the Instagram? Then boy does my pal Zoe have the gift for you – the Ultimate Instagram Hashtag Database.
Getting access to this digital database means your loved one will have access to instant Instagram success. They’ll be supplied with hashtags that’ll take them from Insta zero to Insta hero, optimising each of their posts and gaining followers quicker than free mulled wine at an office party.
Grab Zoe’s Hashtag Database with a cheeky 30% discount (because I’m an affiliate – but use this product personally and can’t recommend it enough!) with the code BFCM30.
The Daily Greatness planners are a popular choice for the modern…well…anyone.
Select a planner with a focus (such as business, fitness, nutrition, parenting… there are loads) and support your giftee on the road to their next big success – whatever that may be.
Noticed that the social media profession might just be getting the better of your friend at the moment?
My wonderful friend, Jayne Hardy – CEO of The Blurt Foundation – has just written the most fantastic book. It’s called The Self-Care Project, and is the complete guide to letting go of frazzle and making time for yourself.
Self-care is something the digital marketers of today desperately need more of in their lives. If this rings true to the person you have in mind, this gift could be life-changing.
Still very much singing from the self-care hymn sheet, I’m also going to recommend one of The Blurt Foundation’s fabulous Buddy Boxes.
These monthly boxes of love are packed full of mood-lifting treated that give the recipient that warm, fuzzy ‘I’ve been cared for’ feeling inside. What a lovely gift eh?!
I caught sight of these little dudes on Not On The High Street and couldn’t resist sharing them in this blog post.
Succulents and other assorted house plants have become the staple of your standard social media graphic. So why not invest in both a room brightener AND a prop by ordering your social media professional friend an adorable house plant to boost their happiness and their photo game all at once.
I have ordered one of these and have not yet received mine, however I’m thinking it’s going to be a wonderful motivator that supplements the use of my Ultimate UK Content Planners above.
Still can’t believe #mysocialplanner is here! Don’t forget to send in your pics of you with the social media planner to win a ticket to @social_day worth over £300 (earlybird) #smm #socialmedia #TuesdayTreat pic.twitter.com/YZ0SeRCZWv

I discovered Lucy on LinkedIn and snapped up one of her social media content planners. It’s a notebook planner type product offering helpful pointers and lots of brainstorming space for levelling up my 2018 social media. I’m very excited to start using this to boost my personal social media channels, and I’m willing to bet any likeminded pro would be thrilled to receive one for Crimbo.
Last of all, if your Christmas gift recipient is making their way in the wonderful world of freelancing, then Claire Mitchell’s Awesome Marketing Planner System is a pretty priceless gift (not in terms of its actual price, I’m pleased to report!).
Not only do you receive a paper planner but you are fully incorporated into Claire’s valuable online communities – her Facebook group, weekly Bum Kick emails and, best of all, her online learning portal that takes female business owners through the ins and outs of setting up shop. I had one in 2017 and in particular, found the portal outrageously helpful.
Did you find a gift for a loved one on this list? I’d love to know what you picked – tweet me and let me know!
